OER (Open Education
Resources), Resources for learning – Experiences from an OER Project in Sweden
Having previously worked
with teaching in many developing countries where IT budget is non existence I
have been a fan of Open Source resources for a long time. It is refreshing to
read European projects whereby OER is being introduced. I think that some
lessons and principles from this project can apply to the ISTUS group.
The project aims were to
share the experience from the introduction of OER in Higher Education and raise
awareness of technology in teaching and learning. When reading the article it
is interesting to learn of the project team discovery of the importance of
decision makers’ participation in the events and the need for institutional strategies
(all be it for open resources).
